I waited 1 hour in the cold on Patrick’s hill for the sky to get dark enough to take this shot. I was surprised that Shandon wasn’t lit up at night (the lighting in the photo is ambient)

Dark skies over Lansdowne Road Stadium yesterday. I’m sure the Drogheda fan’s did’t notice, winning their first trophy in 46 years. Who could begrudge them.

Arrearing in the Metro tomorrow (monday) as photo of the week.

It seems from this letter (written by George Best early in his career) that he always had a love for the good life. Today all his excesses caught up with him, and he died in a Manchester hospital. Unfortunately he never was able to overcome the disease that is alcoholism. RIP George.

Taken from the top of my work car park in Dublin City. The combination of tungsten (yellow) and fluorescent (green) lights in the Baggot Street offices gives a nice glow to the buildings.
